Membership Rules

* Legal I.D. & membership card required for admission to the Pour House.
* Members and their guests 21 years old and above only will be admitted.
* Illegal drugs of any kind are NOT allowed in or around the Pour House.
* Alcohol not purchased at the Pour House is not allowed in or around the Pour House.
* No open alcohol containers will leave the Pour House.
* No loitering around the building following the close of business.
* Violent and obstructive behavior will not be tolerated.
* Firearms, knives, and weapons of any kind are not allowed in or around the Pour House.
* Membership is nontransferable and nonrefundable.
* Membership may be cancelled at any time.
* The Pour House reserves the right to remove and/or refuse admission without notice to anyone at anytime.
* The Pour House will prosecute rule violators to the fullest extent of the law.

Why do I need a membership?

In order to obtain a full ABC permit we had to become a "private" club.
For those of you who don't understand the ABC laws, here is the skinny.

In order to sell liquor in North Carolina, an establishment must either
a) have 30% food sales
or
b) become a private club.

Since we do not have a kitchen, we decided to choose option B.

How do I become a member?
1-Fill out a membership application online, print and bring it with you for the doorman.

2-Hand the doorman your application and $1.

3-The doorman will hand you a Pour House Membership Card!!


FAQs:
1) Do I have to pay the ticket charge as a member?

Yes, you still pay the normal ticket charge for the band(s).
The ticket charge goes to pay the band, not The Pour House Music Hall.
The membership simply entitles you to legally enter the venue now that we sell liquor.

3) Do I need a membership?

Yes, now that the law has changed, we need every single person who enters to obtain a membership - shell out the $1 and be done with it!!
